Howdy Brothers and Sisters,
I’d like to thank every one for having a great third degree on May 2nd. Every one did a fantastic job, thank you very much. We have quite a bit going on this month. Bro Gary Emmons is scheduled for June 6th. Which will probably have passed by time y’all read this. Our next stated meeting is slated for Jun 13th, however, this is the week of Grand Lodge Communications and we will not hold this meeting. On the 24th of June, we will have a Stated meeting, as it is Saint John's Night. We will not have our special communication on the 30th. Our Widows brunch and Memorial was on the 25th of May and we had a good turn out. We will be having the 1765 Degree and Dinner on Saturday the 31st of May and I will report to the Lodge on this event on our meeting on the 24th.
Please keep our Brothers and Sisters that have been under the weather in your prayers. Also keep all those serving our country in foreign lands in your hearts and prayers where ever they maybe.
Take care,
Tom K., WMMay all your travels be safe,
May the wind always fill your sails,
May your table be filled with plenty,
And may the sun keep you in its' warm embrace!

Greetings Brethren, May is over and the summer months begin. I do hope you all had a wonderful and safe Memorial weekend. It is a time to honor those that are gone and realize that we too will come to the end of life’s toilsome journey. And isn’t the weather crazy?!? A few days ago it was in the high 80’s and then it got very chilly and rainy. But the moisture and rays make everything beautiful, especially the rhoddies. Do take time to check them out in their various colors. Grand Lodge is just around the corner and here in Tacoma! There are several resolutions that will be voted upon which will embrace change. Change is good because the new, younger members have different values and thoughts about things and we must remember they are the future Masons. We will try to keep you informed once Grand Lodge is over. We all know that our rituals contain many allegories and symbolism and I would like to take the time to explain just a few. Remember in the 3rd degree circumambulation, at the end where it says “or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern; the shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to GOD who gave it.” It pertains to the body of man suffering the infirmities of old age. The silver cord is the spinal marrow; its loosening is the cessation of all nervous sensibility; the golden bowl is the brain; the pitcher means the great vein which carries the blood to the right ventricle of the heart being the fountain; the wheel is the great artery which receives the blood from the left ventricle which is the cistern. These ceremonies object is to teach symbolically the resurrection and life eternal. My dear brothers, I would like to remind those who haven’t sent in their dues, to do so. And if you know of any brother in sickness or distress, please let me know by calling me or emailing me at: (253) 926-8053; leemonwb2@hotmail.com. “A book is a mirror; if an ass peers into it; you can’t expect an apostle to peer out.” - G.C. Lichtenberg “Wear the old coat and buy the new book.” - Austin Phelps “If a man be gracious and courteous to strangers, it shows he is a citizen of the world.” - Francis Bacon
